Section 67 of Railway act prescribes that:-

1. No person shall take with him on a railway, or require a railway administration to carry such dangerous or offensive goods, as may be prescribed, except in accordance with the provisions of this section.

2. Non person shall take with him in a railway the goods referred to in sub-section (1) unless he gives a notice in writing of their dangerous or offensive nature to the railway servant authorized in this behalf.

3. No person shall entrust the goods referred to in sub-section (1) to a railway servant authorized in this behalf for carriage unless he distinctly marks on the outside of the package containing such goods their dangerous or offensive nature and gives a notice in writing of their dangerous or offensive nature to such railway servant.

4. If any railway servant has reason to believe that goods contained in a package are dangerous or offensive and notice as required under sub-section (2) or sub-section(3), as the case may be, in respect of such goods is not given, he may cause such package to be opened for the purpose of ascertaining its contents.

5. Notwithstanding anything contained in this section, any railway servant may refuse to accept any dangerous or offensive goods for carriage or stop, in transit, such goods or cause the same to be removed, as the case may be, if he has reason to believe that the provisions of this section for such carriage are not compiled with.

6. Nothing in this section shall be constructed to derogate from the provisions of the Indian Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1884), or any rule or order made under that Act, and nothing in sub-sections (4) and (5) shall be constructed to apply to any goods entrusted for carriage by order or on behalf of the Government or to any goods which a soldier, sailor, airman or any other officer of the armed forces of the Union or a police officer or a member of the Territorial Army of the National cadet Corps may take with him on a railway in the course of his employment or duty as such.

However passengers tend to carry inflammable and dangerous materials like firecrackers, petroleum products, explosives etc., resulting in fire accidents and loss of human life.

Suggest solutions for reducing fire accidents due to carrying of inflammable materials by passengers.

There must be a mobile app such as survey page.Which citizen travelling in the train can fill if irregularity in food,cleaniness etc is found.

Want to highlight problem of Mumbai Local trains, though unsure if it would get attention of govt. Daily during peak hours (6 pm to 9 pm, Churchgate-Borivali sector where I travel daily), locals are late by around 20 mins ! It originates on time, but after Dadar, starts crawling & moving at snail’s pace. Journey of approx 45 mins from Dadar takes around 65-70 mins. Dont know the cause, but it’s a daily experience, directly affecting millions. Want to write in detail, but unable due to word limit

All train must have a common tool free number with a customer desk attending for water,security,light,fan,illegal activity.to stop nuisence in the train.The beggers and hijras feel its a safe haven for collection.

I I like to draw your attention to a major problema after sucessful compltion of 15yrs BJP govt in MP still from Rewa there is no direct Rail connctivity is there for all metropolitian cities.While in Rewa all MP,MLA,Mahapohar,ward members from BJP only.Kindly look in to same still there is no clarity by when this thing will happend when this "Acche Din" will come in Rewa??????????

Indian Railways main problem is to reduce its expenditure. I think it can reduce its fuel cost by 10% to 25% by using available technology. It will help to reduce Railway fair.

I like to draw your attention to a major problem but easier to solve. It is related to train time re - scheduling of 'Local Train' in Kolkata's sealdah station. It is a problem of thousands of people . Simply just through calculation this problem can be solved. I am not asking you to add new train, just change time of few train and eliminate few unnecessary local train. I think you and only can solve solve this problem. You just need to call mathematian and physician to solve this.

To buy ticket is biggest issue as we are not having time and railway persons are asking for change and like this we lost 1 or 2 rupee everyday but if government do venture with banks and they can take card system it will be great as now lots of people are having debit or credit card. and on every transaction railways can take o.o5 % from bank that also can be a big amount.

I travel from sealdah - Bongaon. Their are many times when I face problem ,one of the time is between 1:55 to 3:10. The time gap is more than 1 hour, and many passenger wait to reach Bongaon. And there is one train 'Gobardanga Local' which is one the same root. This train is 3 station before Bongaon and 15 minutes away from it . Like other Local train it wait in in gobardanga for Half an hour. Which I think is foolish, it would have taken 5 to 8 minutes more if this train come back to Gobardang

We can earn money by keeping name of persons name like by name of train eg. Jay'anand exp jisko paisa dena hai vo dega apna naam kisis bhi train ko..

Advantage of Re - Scheduling 1. Waiting in platform will be eliminated 2. sometimes train wait for signal before the platform , simply for other train to cross or other reason. 3. Train will reach at time. 4. It will be advantage for numerous passenger. 4. Wastage of money from government side will be saved. 5. Due to wrong timing , train become over crowded. People from other station gets difficult to get up. This advantage will solve many other problems.
