Pollution in our Cities are increasing day by day. Vacant land of Indian Railway should be used for plantation of trees which provide fruits and habitat for birds not Palm trees for scenic beauty. Under Clean Ganga project the river side should be used for planting trees through MNREGA and involving local school students.

developing country like india needs huge infrastructure and for that we need bricks. we should start using fly ash bricks in all projects as they save a lot of fertile land from excavation and also they are not burnt thus save a lot of coal and also prevents pollution caused by burning of coal.they use fly ash generated from power plants which is a waste and need to be disposed.

If Cab services like Ola/Meru/Uber start plying electric cars in city transport, it will add to the objective of Clean India. Govt should route taxes collected in fossil fuel to clean energy.

Developing country like India needs to put in major investments in Sustainable technologies. Reducing the countries dependency on foreign purchased oil & Gas can not only save millions of dollars but also create plenty of jobs and improve energy potential of the country. For instance , there are many small firms developing solar projects , such firms need to be prime focus. Let FDI open up in this sector , we need the advanced techonologies as well. Powering villages solely on green energy !!

Beautification. Our cities are not "beautiful". Green India doesn't only mean 'grow grass' We need to beautify our cities for the citizens for a better quality of life and also so that our cities are comfortable to the eyes of tourists too! Our localities need to grow beautiful flowers & pathways & walks. Concretizing everything is one of the worst ways to move forward. Beautify, for a better and Swachh Bharat.

Delhi pollution levels are high, and reason is Diesel Cars, and since its cheap fuel, please provide interest free loans on electric cars, and provide rebate for principal as in housing loan, instead of providing any subsidy, since most of car traffic is in city (within 100 Km limits, which electric cars can run)and during office hours, and it will promote clean environment. (Could be alternate for public transport/cab companies- provide service tax waiver for it.)

We can start by saving electricity, switch off lights or devices when not in use,do not keep your AC on for the entire night, install solar water heaters instead of electric Geysers,Installing solar panels on each housing society in city to store energy, using CNG cars to reduce emission of pollutants, install CFl lights which run on low power, etc
