Government should declare that at least 50% area of any state should have forests. We have technology now to build skyscrapers. So we should use that technology and let the forests grow on the rest of the land.

In the US the phone company Verizon has a scheme where they collect old phones and give them to victims of domestic violence. We should have a similar scheme so that old phones don't go into the garbage. And when victims or old people are given such phones, they will be able to call in case of emergency. It also reduces the resources required to recycle e-waste.

All buildings and houses should be made to install compost plants and rain water harvesting. This should be made a compulsory rule and tax should be based on it. Those who don't do it should be made to pay higher taxes.

It should be a legal law for factories to have the purifier and any factory who let's the impure smoke escape in the environment should be first fined and if repeated, it may be ceased. Same goes for water bodies. Biological waste should be dumped in lands to make the soil fertile, & treat the non biodegradable.

Our cities have such high pollution levels case in point is Delhi regarded as the world's most polluted city. We should introduce Euro V or Euro VI norms in our cities immediately. The fuel suppliers and manufacturers should be forced to upgrade their infrastructure in order to comply with Euro V or Euro VI norms. This would ensure cleaner air for our people.

Restrict the horizontal growth of real estate and allow the vertical growth. This will help to preserve the green cover. Use barren lands for development of industries. so that the green cover is not destroyed.
