The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

At Individual level, let's not take and give dowry. At Government Level.Leaders should insure proper punishment and policies.Material Education will not remove this problem. We have to implement our ancient source of knowledge like Bhagvat gita,Ramayana and other Vedic literature in schools and colleges. It is the Greed of the people that excites them or allow them to kill a girl.Once they will come to know what a sinful act they are going to do.Let's purify our hearts by reading these scriptures.

The accused of physical abuse to daughter in law and wife and daughter should be given strict punishment. Any family member responsible for domestic violence should be punished according to the intensity of violence.

I respect Indian culture. But there are certain flaws in it. Every family wants at least one son to look after the family assets. A daughter is not given the same right and priority over son. The son is always given priority over daughter in law In domestic activities as well. Our culture is quite male dominated. This point of view has to be changed. Daughters and Daughter-in-laws are always treated inferior to son. The entire nation and world respect you and we have 100% confidence in your gov.

Sir all these rules and act are none of use. Parents think female child as burden, why is it so. Only because of dowary. It should be a crime to give or to take dowary. Court marriges should be preffered.
