The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

As per Amartya Sen, our noble laureate, the single most potent solution to most of the issues including CSR that INDIA is facing as a backward country can be resolved by systematically administering the generous and persisent doses of literacy and education among all sections of our society, giving primary focus to the women of INDIA. I certainly believe that, and my observation is to continue it with renewed vigour

SOLUTION - First, a suggestion to make this group discussion effective. If we are just informing the plight of the girl child or/and crying over our pathetic Child Sex Ratio, we start our post as "COMPLAIN - ". However, if we have suggestions to improve our condition, we start OUR POST as "SOLUTION - ". This administrative discipline will go a long way in making this group discussion productive and effective.

Most of us are concentrating on BETI BACHAO, here i wish to emphasize on the security of our girls who are not safe in India. Specially after series of rape incidents , i must say that all mothers whether having married or unmarried girls are ling continous fear for the security of their child.

What govt. should do- 1. Govt. Should accept the ground reality of uttarakhand and go to villages. 2. Make policies with the peoples involve their ideas. donot make policies inside the AC rooms, sit between the peoples. 3. Establish agriculture and herbal based industries in villages. 4. Govt. should make closeness with people. 5. Encourage educated youth to establish small industries. 6. Make more accountable and resposible govt. departments. Thanks

3. Due to negligence, unactive and carelessness of govt. A SILENTV VOICE OF MAOISTS (vaicharik maoists) IS spreading in the betwen of youths. these voices are obsereved in Nanda devi raj jat yatra and other festivals of uttarakhand. ( This may be very dangerous in coming years. 4. farmers are leaving their farming. 5. Educated youths are migrating from villages. 6. Corruption in govt. departments.

7. Peoples are migrating from villages. still state govt. didnot make any ground level policies to prevent this migration. Effect of above reasons- 1. Due to lack of developments of villages, peoples are migrating so manyremote villages are zero population. 2. Due to empty of villages, more risks from china and anti national activities.

2. No industial plocies for villages of hills. Industrial development only in plain areas (Hridwar & Udham singh nagar) 3. No Agrilcutral & harbal policies for villages of hills. (Govt. should learn from himanchal agrilculture policies) 4. No tourism policies of state. (Uttarakhand is a best place for tourist but still tourism industry is not organised) 5. No employment for youths. (Berojgaar youths need work no need berojgaari bhatta). 6. More gap (difference) between public and govt.

First of all we will have to find out the reasons of declining child sex ratio. Two important reason i found for this1- the fear of dowry system in India..i have seen even educated people demanding dowry .. 2-the fear of security . most important one we have not strict rules for dowry demanding people ..dowry act only works after marriage...bt i hardly see any action against greedy people security is big issue ..there is an environment..which fears parents about there girl child..

sir I always saw, no-one sweep the tears of poor people. u said that all govt. employees are for the poor people but u know that no-one listen the problems of poor people. they never give respect to the poor. they only salute to the rich people. i request to u please take it in your consideration.
