The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

Female foeticide has become a social hazard of international significance in the era of ultrasound technology and capitalist modernity. Female foeticide is a latest trend of long established gender bias which is being executed by the low-cost technologies like ultrasound and abortion care providers found in every corner of a market. There is a great need of controlling them which can lead to definate reduction in female foeticide.

Authority that provided driving licenses should should further make their procedure strict in terms of issuing the license, which would in turn help in road safety. Minimum hours of driving while learning should also be made mandatory for a person to get a license (The hours spent by the person at the driving schools should be formally documented). Proper classes should be held to provide education on driving rules and having patience while driving.

Right to cast vote is important and should be exercised. Please make ability to vote by being anywhere in the world and not just the constituency you belong to. Internet could be used for this. If transactions of millions of rupees is possible via Internet, then why can't this. Would really appreciate if this is made possible.

Girls Ghar ke Lakshami Hoti Hai.

Contd. There needs to be a change in law. Make rape (especially the toddlers) a non bailable offence which accounts to death. Make strict punishment for rapes like 1) death 2) life imprisonment and ensure you put behind bars all the criminals and perverts. Only this punishment would deter people be it the youth or the middle aged NOT to see kids and girls as sexual toys. Otherwise we will see this happen all the time and i don't want to come to india and educate my kid

Dear Sir. I am currently abroad and afraid of coming to india because I have a beti. The moment i switch on any media, I see the betis 3 year, 4 year, 6 year olds and 16 year olds being raped by teachers, attendants and roadsiders. How will any NRI or even a person like me who go short term onsite ever get the confidence in the government. If we are afraid of sending our kids to indian school, then how people in india would ever send a girl to school? Please stop these assault on our betis.

Unfortunately, I could not find any discussion related to crime against women in this portal hence putting my view here. Idea: To use digital/social media to prevent crime against women. Identification: Digital footprint. Usage: 1. Filtering content available online (internet) to make list a list "Potential Sexual Offenders". 2. Authorities/Police must investigate each individual in such list. 3. Flag such person in central database. 4. Forecast such people and counsel them.

We understand that without woman,we can not say life is good. We should think right about the daughter. We should give her right education and right environment. We should build good India. We shall say that Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
