Removal of sanitary waste should be done with Vaccum tankers only & they are to provided at all unit levels/ village. person handling hose should use suitable gloves & breathing mask for personal safety & hygienic. If man entry is required (confined space) for cleaning hole/ tank, first to be emptied with vacuum tanker & then flushed with water. check oxygen (19.5-23.5%) & Hydrogen Sulfide, gas level before entry. Many workers die cleaning sewer due to deadly gas H2S or else it’s murder by Gov.

Hi .Swatch Bharat Campaign Will be effective only if Dustbins are provided in Every Street. Else Even if we Clean our surroundings, most garbage disposals are in open and trucks carrying them spill it all over. Also suggest Area-wise, Bio Gas Plants to reuse Organic Waste.

Present Rs 10000 and Rs 13000 is not sufficient for having toilet for below poverty line families. Hence it is suggested that 100% cost has to be born from Govt only. Then the manual scavenging will not come into the picture. This is a priority item and the scavengers services should not be used for individual families.Even for mass cleaning also latest solutions should be used duly taking their services. They should be all benefits like free health care, education etc.

Swachha Bharat initiative: P.M. should broach this initiative with the Indian disapora in Australia as well as the Australian Government to undertake a “Power of Green” initiative. This will be by way of a Corporate Eco Forum where corporates both from Australia and the Indian diaspora work towards sustainable eco friendly and green initiatives to reduce carbon emission.

Dear PM, Many thanks for having such a wonderful where we can pen our feelings and sure about it it being read. People in village in my district Ganjam, do manual scavenging on the roads of every village road. The toilets have been built but of no use, because people again need to get water from faraway ponds or what you can say is no water for the toilets. We tried to explain people but of no avail beacuse of lack of water. Regards Subrat Apato
