Manual scavenging was probably institutionalised during creation of cities, railways etc., all over India. Still exists ”Sweeper colonies”, isolated from other communities, a symbol of degradation of human dignity and slavery. This needs to be dismantled through induction of modern technologies in management of toilets and sewerage systems. Also manpower development is fundamental to get rid off this curse and to raise the Indian societies compatable to modern world.

1)No better employement opportunities. 2)No better technology for scavenging. 3)Still prevailing casteism. These are the constrains in eliminating manual scavenging

Each of govt organization must have toilets like schools post offices panchyat banks specially in rural areas

We should start through indian railways it engaged max manual scavengers everyone of us must help not to use train toilets at stations

there should be toilets(mobile/temporary/permanent). i would feel that we should follow 'anna hazare's village example.

Manual scavenging is inhuman and some jobs should be given to the workers under some govt scheme.

govt should make 10 to 20 eco-friendly toilets in each villages.
