Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, in Karnataka State has been selected by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the “Smart City” Challenge Stage-2 by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

LET'S MAKE HUBBALLI-DHARWAD SMARTER 1) Plastic free city 2) People must be educated . 3) Fine must be collected for damaging or scratching on the public transport(governtment bus) 4) Parks and play grounds can be constructed. 5) Proper drainage system must be maintained.

As Hubli-Dharwad is selected to be smart city . First we the people of "Hubli-Dharwad" should take steps to improve the city . 1.Keep the surroundings clean. 2.Keep environment pollution-free.

Develop the city in all sectors like IT side ,education side,continuous water supply,widening of roads to reduce traffic problems,construction of subways and flyovers as to decrease traffic problems,etc *)The industrial sector would achieve fast growth. It helps converted into a smart city. *)Smartcity will create more jobs for the unemployed youth. *)Free education for poor children. *)Solar Energy and Parks, Playgrounds and Trees has to be generated.
