There are approx 28,000 wetlands in India. From these few can be selected for developing for tourism and research purposes. Rest all can be maintained by planting trees and keeping them clean.

During infrastructure construction activities, lot of earth is removed for foundation works . If these big pits are not refilled but allowed to be in existence , then during monsoon the rainwater will get accumulated in these pits inturn will recharge the groundwater layers thus the depth of the ground availability will be at much lesser depth and also the forest or barren land will get greenery and vegetation will grow which in due course can become thick forests .
