DAYLIGHT SAVINGS IN INDIA: Most developed countries adopt to adjusting their national clock during winter months. This saves lot of energy as their office working hours get adjusted according to availability of sunlight. India, as a developed nation must adopt to 'Daylight Savings' - which may save several million megawatts of energy - most of which comes through burning of fossil fuel (coal/oil..etc). This will help our mother nature breathe easily. This doesn't cost anything..

To enhance energy efficiency in government as well as private office buildings the modern technologies are very useful a sensor can be developed to sense the presence of human being at work place except common areas so in the absence of staff in any room or hall the lights may go off automatically & vice versa .

Sir, Solar and wind energy shall help us. In order to involve common man / citizen in this movement, following measures can be taken... Solar.. 1. Install solar panels on railway platform roofs. 2. Make available small panels at very low price to be mounted on any place like DTH dish on bigger residential bldgs in metros and even slums. Collect this electricity in DC form to Electricity board power station to convert to AC power. This eliminates major cost of invertor and battery.

We have plenty of solar energy wasting every day, we should start using it to translate solar energy into producing electricity. The initial cost of installing solar panel is very high but it will help us in the long rub, it will also boast our make in India campaign as we will make those panels in India only. we should Firstly implement the pilot project for the street lights and then expand it further to govt. offices. and then we can ask people of the country to do the same.

All the government and private offices in the country can install solar power panels on their roof tops and can use the energy at day time during the office hours in which maximum energy is consumed and can use the normal electricity at night shift. The office workers should be educated and given incentive and appreciated for saving power and they should help and educated the society in saving power by doing this power will be saved and enhanced because best way to enhance energy is to save it.

The newly constructed government offices should fulfill the criteria of a Green Building. And the existing government offices should be renovated to green buildings as much as possible.

during construction of govt offices or private have sense of direction for free natural light and wind to save energy.have canopy's on top of the building for free light for passages in offices .let there be engineers who will scientifically estimate and have a index for evaluation before the project and achieved after the project. let them measure with luminous meters and give a incentive for the power saved.for example Bengaluru airportis designed in similar lines by swiss& German engineers.

Traffic management is very important in terms of energy conservation. Signals and clogged traffic junctions deserve immediate elevated flyovers and bridges. Energy saving could save Millions to the exchequer as well as pollution. In Navi Mumbai at Mahape, a FLYOVER IS READY FOR LAST 1 MONTH but it is not inaugurated because no VIP is available. It is a shame to see the state the traffic and inconvenience to motorists and the FLYOVER lying unutilsed for a flimsy reason of VIP CULTURE.
