Lots need to be done in India to improve quality of life for a child (and his family) with special needs. Government should look at laws in other countries (No child left behind act in US, for example) that ensures school will be obligated to provide education. All children needs to be educated to understand and empathize with kids on special needs. These 2 things will create a broader understanding and acceptance for special needs kids and families.

Railway concession for physically challenged person will be allowed in online ticket booking also, its very painful for a physically disabled to go to reservation counter and book the ticket himself, when senior citizen discount can be given online why not this one

On 'Swachh Bharat Mission' it is also important to beautify and maintain every park in the city with greenery.

Though Dyslexic children do not come under specially abled category, there are a whole lot of dyslexic children in our schools, especially Government schools, with the teacher not even being aware that a particular child is dyslexic. The result for the poor child is humiliation and a sense of failure generated by the unconscious behaviour of the teacher and the classmates.The Government should train school teachers to handle such children.

There should be one doctor for specially abled person atleast at every Tehsil level, so that children or person suffering from that can be identified n diagnosed as early as possible n can be treated accordingly mentally and physically. Early diagnosis will help them for early recovery,this will help them to find better place in the society.

Why don't we create JOB opportunities for Differently abled persons and Transgenders in BPO sectors? Attending Voice calls, replying to customers via Email and so on. We can create the Positive attitude among the people. Govt dont need to fund fully, we can do this by Public , Private partnership. Since we are going to modernize the govt machinery, I am sure there will be lot queries regarding schemes to complaints and also resolve the bank transaction related queries for Public sector Banks.
