Ideally we should focus on empowering the specially abled, we can take an example from Jaipur Foot wherein several of those who work are those who have themselves been rehabilitated by Jaipur foot. Creating a work environment wherein the specially abled are not treated as different through making homogeneous groups in itself can help increase their efficiency. We must also focus on preventive aspects like early healthcare to avoid various disabilities.

My 87 year old mother who is disabled due to after effects of cancer care, recently had a major surgery and treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Goa. It was shocking that such a high priced and big brand did not have basic facilities for the specially abled. The rooms, toilets, corridors and even untrained staff made it so difficult to mobilise her. The government needs to come down hard on institutions to make premises friendly

Equal Employment Opportunities exist on paper mostly in all organisations. When specially abled people apply for jobs, it becomes a bigger challenge getting the job because they are considered a burden. Even in multinational companies which claim to have special quotas for the specially abled, you will see that only for the purpose of audit they will claim to have offered jobs but found no one to fill the same. It is a pity as there are highly qualified people rejected even over a small issue

HH I am belong to Orthopedic Handicapped (OH) category, and face some critical experience.OH cat. me se ONE LEG/ONE ARM handicapped ko thoda bahut reservation mil raha hai..baki sab VH/HH reservation ko ja raha hai....!! OH Reservation me bhi BOTH LEG/BOTH ARMS effected kaha jaye.Please guided me. Regards
