The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

IoT could bridge all the networking barriers of we implement it correctly. I would also want to point out that we don't have centralized traffic system, with WiFi we could achieve that, and also if we use sensors in our all city lights with led, you can monitor the health of the system remotely and accurately in addition to saving the overall power consumption.

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी, बहुत से दुकानदार/ व्यापारी ऐसे है जो कि किसी वस्तु कि खरीदी पर पक्की रसीद नहीं देते है और बहुत से ग्राहक पक्की रसीद कि माग भी नहीं करते है इस तरह से सेल्स टॅक्स कि चोरी होती है और वो सरकार तक नहीं पहुच पाता है ! यदि ४०० रुपये से ज्यादा कि खरीददारी पर डिजिटल भुगतान अनिवार्य कर दिया जाय तो दुकानदार टॅक्स कि चोरी नहीं कर पायेगें ! ऐसा करने से रुपये का चलन कम भी होगा और लोग डिजिटल भुगतान क़ी तरफ ज्यादा उन्मुख होगे जिससे क़ी जाली नोटो पर सरलता से नियंत्रण किया जा सकेगा !

Our Post Offices are idle, they have lost busness to emails Mobile etc., but having best Network & Non corrupt, Government should use POST OFFICES as Server Hubs to connect entire villages in India. The infrastructure handling should be given to highly effecient Officers Strong will power of entrusted Department, we have good TRAI which should be fine tuned It can make India fullyDigitallised

government should launch a new pattern of birth certificate to death certificate. start with birth certificate and end with death certificate. goverment start a online site of public information and when a child is born in india all hospital is open a account of new birth with photo of baby child after a verification code sent to mother or father mobile after mother or father open a account with verification code and fill the name after 48 hrs system generate birth certificate after account nu

4.7GHz internet on electric poles should be used by Police, Municipality, Fire, Electricity, Public Utilities, etc In some countries, this band is exclusively used for the purpose. General public, can be given access on this frequency with right hardware and controlled access.

Today ALL our TELECOM service providers FAIL in providing UNINTERRUPTED HISPEED INTERNET. As a result much productive time of every internet user is wasted. As TIME is of great value, it causes anger, irritation & frustration on not being able to perform a task online. Today people are always on the move & internet on mobile has to be affordable as well as hi speed. GOI must take punitive action against telecoms.Otherwise people will suffer and the dream of DIGITAL INDIA will turn sour.
