The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

Sir, Please make policy for Non-Engineers, Non-Diploma Holder but skilled Public in digital India. Who got the skill from private institution and exist in India with large number. Even Digital skill exist with cross academic skill like CA and B-Com with ERP Application. Please provide the opportunity to those people who got least marks in their academic level study but want to be something later in their life. There should be some chance where they can upgrade there skill with recognition.

in Software field General public very much depend on private institute course but practically there is no guarantee that it will enhance skill. I feel skill and expertise both comes by experience at this time in India in digital industry. So government should provide skill development program with private institution with intern ship. Or Government should take the help from online communities like coursera.org, edx to provide free online skill development training.

Sir, I have one suggestion on point number To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets. Sir practically in software or hardware skill public is depend on private institutes rather than government institute. Government institutes syllabus are old and not very proficient. Even there is no guarantee of job after private course completion from private institute. Some courses are very expensive like SAP, Oracle. tbc.

Respected Sir, now that BJP have formed government in Harayana we insist that Mr. Ashok Khemka be awarded one of the highest post in bureaucracy in Harayana. We as a citizen of India feel that he was done injustice in the past. He was punished heavily to perform his duty correctly & with full honesty. So he should be restored back to the top most position & given a chance to prove his work done in the past. NOT that a revenge against Congress is to be taken. Its just the truth should come out.

pranam sir, skill development ki jo aapki polocy hai bahut hi sarahniya hai. desh ko iski jarurat hai magar aapse hame ummeed kuchh jada hai kyunki aap hi hai asha ki kiran. sir nivedan hai ki govt job me reservation ko lekar aap kuchh karenge . reservation ko caste ke adhar pe na karke agar uske financial condition ke adhar pe kare . agar aisa sudhar sambhav hai to isse ham kai sari problem solve kar sakte hai jaise reservation duriya kam nahi karta balki badhata hai.
