The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

My sincere THANKS to Modiji for acting fast on WB terror hubs by sending NIA, if action had delayed, the STREET PROTESTER turned WB CM would have got these evidences destroyed too very much like she did with those IED bombs at a riverside just to woo/retain her minority vote bank at the expense of National Security: http://rationale-jay.blogspot.in/2014/10/my-sincere-thanks-to-modiji-for-acting.html

Your high lights in your governance is your visit to Siachen on Diwali and Swacch Bharat. A country which looks after the welfare of its Soldiers will never loose a War, the soldier will lay down his life, knowing fully that the gov will take care of its family. Sir, your contrbution is urgently reqd for the Welfare of the 3 services. The morale of the Army is in its boots, very very low due to earlier govt. Also involve the Army pers in governance and politics and see its amazing results.

I just checked that a fare of 1st class rajdhani from delhi to bangalore cost approx Rs 7000 and 36 hours whereas the same two destination travel costs from spice jet is only Rs4000 and takes 2.5 hrs time. Then the question is why a person will pay more for 36hrs railways journey as it neither saves cost nor time and takes 14 times extra time for travelling.????? Kindly amend and rationalize.

Hon. Prime Minister , We should have owner's UID's of all urban property holdings Top 100 cities to begin with ; for corporates /Firms/Trusts/LLP's etc Govt should ask for disclosure of beneficial owners' UID's. We should know who owns India's properties as an asset class and profile major ownerships; This data will be very useful since lots of black moneys of India parked in this asset class major reforms are needed to move urban properties from hoarders to actual users .
