The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

West bengal going in a difficult future. I engage with my local BJP organisation. I think that in West bengal, BJP needs a true leadership face for win corporation or bidhansabha elections. Bengals peoples are not believe in commitment now. They want a believe.

Recently, I saw many cyclones are formed on seas. Not only cyclone, frequency of natural calamities has been increased. It shows that equilibriam of the nature is being destroyed. Soon a situation would come when there would be cyclones every week. Eventually, we will run out of our wealth to compensate the victims of disaster. We have to think about avoidance of it, instead of taking preventive measure. We should think of a way where new generation would get applied knowledge to protect nature.

What I believe is it is unfair to give any company all the contracts to make all things in india digitalized. Also small companies and start ups can never gain the contracts, because of lack of high level contacts and bribe dominated system. So there should be an open platform. So that anyone can develop the apps ,websites etc for people to use with a common service API available open source for all the things like having licence, apply for registering company, and all such services.

We should use Indian made apps rather than foreign made. Among social apps like Facebook whatsapp twitter all are not Indian.. So govt should promote those who wants to make Indian apps. Hike is an Indian made app, we can use hike instead of whatsapp to max extent... Jai hind

Passenge Amenities... India is a great nation that celebrates women as god. It would be really great if certain amenities are provided to nursing mother in the Indian Railways for long distance trains like a coupe. As this would help scores of women and the children to be taken care without disturbing the comfort of other passengers. This could be further strengthened by a special police force to avoid any disturbance to such women who are travelling alone.
