The digital space has witnessed major transformations in the last couple of years and as per industry experts would continue to evolve itself. The latest entrant to the digital space is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can also be defined as interplay for software, telecom and electronic hardware industry and promises to offer tremendous opportunities for many industries.

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the number of connected sensors soon will reach trillions, working with billions of intelligent systems involving in-numerous applications will drive new consumer and business behaviour. The demand for increasingly intelligent industry solutions based on IoT will drive trillions of dollars in opportunity for IT industry and even more for the companies that take advantage of the IoT.

One of the top most initiatives in the form of Digital India Program of the Government which aims at ‘transforming India into digital empowered society and knowledge economy’, is expected to provide the required impetus for development of the IoT industry ecosystem in the country.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology,(DeiTY) has come out with a draft IOT Policy document which focuses on following objectives:

i. To create an IoT industry in India of USD 15 billion by 2020. It has been assumed that India would have a share of 5-6% of global IoT industry.

ii. To undertake capacity development (Human & Technology) for IoT specific skill-sets for domestic and international markets.

iii. To undertake Research & development for all the assisting technologies.

iv. To develop IoT products specific to Indian needs in all possible domains.

The Policy framework of the IoT Policy has been proposed to be implemented via a multi-pillar approach. The approach comprises of five vertical pillars (Demonstration Centres, Capacity Building & Incubation, R&D and Innovation, Incentives and Engagements, Human Resource Development) and 2 horizontal supports (Standards & Governance structure).

sir, happy diwali to one and all. one of the very few things i have not heard from you after becoming PM is your idea of restructuring FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA. during your campaign speeches you did talk about trifurcation of FCI. when can we hear from you on that. one more suggestion is a strong followup is on FDI promised by japan and china. of course you are doing a great job and we are very very proud of you.

IT industry in our country has taken the route of Services and Product Development, the embedded systems and hardware manufacturing facilities are still absent, IoT policy should be focussed on Hardware manufacturing sector so that we can achieve standalone production of chipsets, processors etc. there are organizations like intel, qualcomm, in india but they are only sourcing from india , they are not exactly "Making in India" , the same goes for various product development companies.

A sense of optimism has evolved in last few months. Govt officers can start working and taking decisions if they are assured of not victimised by vigilance, CVC or CBI for their very very minor or procedural mistakes. These organisations take plesure in prosecuting honest officers while corrupt get scot free.

Dear Sir, Happy Deepavali !! I have a suggestion of preservation of fresh water 1. We must mandate all the residents to use STP water for toilet flush and gardens. Currently, mnay use precious fresh water for this which is colossal waste. 2. We must also create distribution mechanism to use STP water for agriculture. There are so many places where treated water can be used instead of fresh water. I believe with this model and rain water reuse, we can remove scarcity of fresh water in India.

dear all, happy diwali why not we use swedeshi products to create awareness to all level then only we improve economy development. some mnc soft drink to invest the money rs.0.80 paise they more than rs.5 get back then what is the use? we encourage our small scale, medium scale and big industries motivate then only succeed. otherwise our economy not yet to grow. one of the best example for japan after world war 2 growing incredibly.

Digital India is an initiative of Government of India to integrate the government departments and the people of India and to ensure effective governance. It also aims at ensuring the government services made available to citizens electronically by reducing paperwork. The initiative also includes plan to connect rural areas under high-speed internet networks.The is a two-way platform where both the service offerers and the consumers stands to

Sir, I think there should b cctv cameras on roads so that people will follow traffic rules as in most of the areas people don't wear helmet while riding. Cctv will also help in solving accident cases for police.
