Para 7
I also feel the lead bank officers of Nationalised Banks will be able to support the Village adoption scheme of Hon.P.M by preparing project reports, periodical monitoring of implementation, liaison with panchayats, District level officers,& M.Ps & make the scheme a BIG success.

Para 6
Let CMDs take urgent action for recovery.Let them ascertain reasons for large accounts becoming NPAs in last 6-7 years &check on corrective action taken. Let them closely review present large accounts periodically & submit reviews to Board. Let theFinance Ministry allot officers to monitor the progress at each Bank. The M.O.S for Finanace has enough academic qualification & professional experience.

. NPAs are unavoidable but needs to be manageable.{There were reports to say that some C.M.Ds pressurized statutory auditors to suppress N.P.As.If true they are hiding truth and committing sin},

Para 5
Political influence is one of the KEY reasons for wrong sanctions. Otherwise Nationalised Banks who have boards with well Experienced Bankers as Chairmen & EDs, Representatives of RBI &Govt as Directors, Officer Director & Employee Director {with access to every account}, eminent Experts from various fields as directors should NOT land with such High NPAs.Can the Directors absolve themselves of the moral responsibility from this situation

Para 4
Sanction of loans are comparatively easier as the decision is made based on various formulas & parameters. But monitoring disbursements, end use, timely implementation ,avoid diversions etc should be very careful & banks should have expertise& not negligent. If expertise is not available in house ,they should out source.

Para 3
Nationalised Banks are backbone of our financial system &capable of achieving fantastic results in financing small & marginal farmers, increase agricultural production & bring down prices. NPAs are a major problem faced by ALL nationalized banks. While recovery should be given priority, the root cause for such huge NPAs has to be examined & strengthen the banking system. A bank wise review of NPAs for last 6-7 years will identify reasons that will be useful to arrest growth of NPAs

Para 2
Though Ms.IndiraGandhi nationalized banks out of political compulsion it was a revolutionary step. Banking reached unknown areas & neglected sectors could get financial support only due to Nationalisation. Unfortunately trade unions in banking industry did not lend necessary support by providing good customer service despite clamoring for Nationalisation, thus attracting adverse criticism & disrepute. Instead of exposing bad management, Unions indulged in blackmailing &get Quid-pro-quo.

Contd...While FACILITIES FOR STORAGE for each and farmer, especially the smaller and marginal ones emphasized that INSTALATION OF SMALL FOOD PROCSSING UNITS AT SMALL
DISTANCES convenient to the
producers who possess small units of
land fields. THESE SMALL UNITS ARE TO
BE "COMBO" ONES, i.e. those should
be resembling the "SINGLE WINDOW"
meaning from "PROCUREMENT TO
PROCESSING". IT IS THE CALL OF THE TIME. IT WILL MINIMISE, RATHER, ELIMINATE THE CHANCES OF PERISHING OF THE PRODUCE.
