Hence the cost of the vegetable is too high and the end users are sufferings because of the price hike on the vegetables. The real benefiter is traders only. If we abolish the trader’s role in the vegetable and fruits marketing, we will get significant improvement in the vegetable and fruits marketing

The traders are purposefully doing these kinds of activities because, to get the price down with the formers. The formers also, in order to avoid this situation, they are offering very low price to the trades. In fact, some times the formers are not at all getting their yield cost from their selling’s. But the traders are selling very high price to the seller.

1. Now, if we see the marketing of vegetables and fruits, neither the former nor the sellers are getting benefits. The traders are earning more profit in this marketing, I can say, because of the traders activities, the non moving stock of vegetables and fruits are getting increased at the formers point. Which caused lot of chances for the vegetables will get in to unused condition because it is highly perishable in nature. contd..

Post harvest losses in supply chain of fruits and vegetables can be reduced by advance planning of marketing. That is the availbility of approximate quantity of fruits and vegetables on a future date should be uploaded from the producer's places by way of engaging mobile uploading of information units of government agencies which will send a copy of the same by SMS to producers. If any producers produce is not uploaded which can be done by getting SMS from such producers. Each producer mobile number can be registered with government agency through online.

Make a portal, where farmer can check where the scarcity/demand of particular veg. & fruit is so that they can transport their item to that city or town.
Mandatory to register here for getting information like creating e-mail id.
Also this portal will show the market condition and rate at the MANDI, so that farmer will not get cheated.
This site will be updated daily & also show the list of spoiled fruit/veg. buyers & organization who will process to get manure or cattle feed or generate power

Post harvest losses of fruits and vegetables mainly occur due to overripening which is enhanced by ethylene production. To delay ripening we can use biotechnological techniques which is beneficial and in addition does not cause any harm to the environment.
