Post offices are the only one which can be reached nook and corner and postman can reach each house. With the convergence of Post-offices, BSNL and Nationalized banks, one can create a single UID for bank account, phone no. Under Jan dhan yojana, Post offices can play a key role by opening accounts to all citizens. Banks can not approach all corners. Hence, convergence of Post offices, Banks, BSNL neccessary to achieve full financial inclusion. Postmen services can be utilized in so many ways.

Post Office Network can be used in numerous way and it is the best way that we can reach even small, small villages... If they are digitized and if citizens are given unique ID cards to identify them digitally then, we can implement most of the government benefits through them... Also we can get objective type feedback from people on any subject (like project implementation, Service quality, Draft Policy Feedback, specific request of that area and so on...)

First and Foremost is that they should be digitized, then could start issuing DD for government/colleges/universities/exams/ application, these would raise their revenue without much effort. All government office should use post office. They can collect (Pickup at door step) bulk letters from big PSU's and corporate's and dispatch. Post man may also collect letters from each house, sell stamps/covers, even collect RD payment, or any payment while he goes for delivery,

Functioning as a platform with information facilities like Government schemes with Help desk and also as a portal to spread the government's vision and mission, will make post-office, undergo a ground breaking sector in this digital era, where much of the communication is through e-mails.
