Allocate them funds so as to be technically advanced. And there should be an audit in regular intervals as many employees are just sitting idle or not doing the work in a proper manner same as other gvt offices

Post offices should be given more tasks like they do here in foreign countries. It will make things easier for the citizens. Here in NZ if you want to change the ownership of your vehical you can do it just by filling out a form at a post office and its done where as in India one needs to go through a long process and even have to bribe some corrupt gvt employees to get it done. Recruit new educated and well behaved staff as most of the present staff is unknown to IT which is a must now

Should strengthen system first.Allocate more funds for modernization;Integrate all Post Offices;Develop S/W and provide electronic equipment to minimize manual tasks;Increase work force;Provide trg on S/W use to work foce; All outdates rules should be simplified;Work force are too rigid to use modern equipment/software. Educate them. Few suggestions…
Deliver mails at designated areas;Pick mails at door-step;Mail tracking and alerts.Rewards 4 potential users;E-Sorting.

Post Office should act as a driver for Financial Inclusion. RBI way back has allowed Post office to act as a Business Correspondent. But how far it is implemented is a big question mark. The advantage includes - Wide network, knowledge of banking transactions, familiarity of the person in the villages etc. Training of the postman in basic technology of POS device and Mobile network will surely help in taking banking to the doorstep of the consumer. More no. of services can be added in the future
