For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To provide efficient postal network and points of presence [particularly in rural areas and small towns] to Central Government Ministries / Departments, State Governments [including Local Self Government] and private sector players for delivering various citizen-centric services, scheme, products to the people.
•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Last date for sending your suggestions is 30th November, 2014.

For this open forum, I have an important suggestion If UNIFORM CIVIL CODE requires everyone to practice FAMILY PLANNING irrespective of religion, then it should be made a law and enforced on top priority. This is essential because (1) whatever the govt. does, if the population keeps increasing, then the benefits cannot reach everyone. So a large section of the population will be poor and underdeveloped.(2) same wealth distribution amongst less number is better than amongst more number of people.

PM sir, Please intervene in resolving the long pending issue of absorption of ITS officer in BSNL. It is one of the most chronic issue that BSNL is struggling and could not deliver upto the expectation of general customer. The purchase of material is so sub standard that it brings bad name for BSNL. There seems to be no future plan that how could BSNL run landline service as most of the staff in going to retire in 2 to 4 years. People still rely upon BSNL's Broadband service. Please intervene ..

Fortunately most of us know , what is good and what is not good. Solution to most of the conditions is - I shall do my work better and you do yours. Unless this attitude prevails, things are rather complicated. So let's start with self.
