For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To provide efficient postal network and points of presence [particularly in rural areas and small towns] to Central Government Ministries / Departments, State Governments [including Local Self Government] and private sector players for delivering various citizen-centric services, scheme, products to the people.
•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Last date for sending your suggestions is 30th November, 2014.

Banking license should be given to post office. It will help post office as well as financial inclusion program of the gov. Post office should concentrate more on it products such as postal insurance and should start mutual funds,health,motor insurance etc. and should have more campaign . like other insurance company it should have more agents to campaign for the postal products.Postal department and employees has to be more competitive and efficient to get more online shopping business

More Groups need to be included on the Website such as: 1. Initiatives for Population Control 2. Self help and Volunteer Groups 3. Group for preservation of cultural values and heritage preservation

Please read this suggestion in the interest of people of Jammu & Kashmir. Following is my suggestion against Pakistan attacking border land villages. All of the houses facing pakistan attack should get strengthen with solid metal wall, All the houses should have one metal wall against. So that our Citizen will automatically protected against attack and their attack & ammunition will fail. Please do some ground work and feasibility study to conduct this suggestion.

The Model Post office concept started in 2007-2008 in Delhi Region has become bomne of Contrntion. Due to the Spending of Crores of Rupees to upgrade/moderansie those Post Office has gone into the Drain. The Amenties provided their have been stolen/misused by the Staff & other people for their personnel & professional use only. No public get's benift's of those Services which has been provided at the time of Modernisation/upgradation of selected Post office as Model Post offices.
