The rural and urban divide is geographical distribution, demography; all people are Indians, but, you need to be rural person to own land in rural India, you are Indian but need another to introduce to the P.O. or bank, introductions should come from a/c holders in the appropriate banks and P.O. This is no different from the frustrating rules and laws which exist in J&K. All these separation, seclusion, segregation demeans the existence of humans and their rights to live, to settle down in a

I have never heard anyone doubting the activities of India Post. India Post has many potentialities. It can work as banker to millions of poor Indians. It can work as Information Dissemination Centres where young and aged both groups of people will come and collect various information. It can work as circulation point of government journals, and magazines like YOJANA, KURUKSHETRA and magazines of various departments. Besides, post office can work towards spreading financial literacy.

The question of Post Offices’ work ways is a talk for two ways like any services sector.
To think that the P.Os’ know all their customers is incorrect today. At the same time to think when they know or if they know they would have unbiased views and be respectful, is no longer true either.
To some extent they know people in towns and cities though not all, as in these areas the people are on the move, a lot of time, people may change their addresses but do not change their P.O., Banks.

Its a era of E-commerce. Today total postage & courier traffic is more then 30-40% is of E-commerce shopping through different portals. We should talk with E-commerce companies and done tie ups with them and ensure them with our delivery and competitive pricing. I am also into eCommerce business and believe me there is a huge scope of courier and parcel handling services in India. There are soo many small and medium size eCommerce companies in India who are struggling for tieup. we shd tieup.

The Indian post offices should be treated as franchise of a bigger postal corporation or part of cumulative employment portal of India, this would create a lot of jobs in India and in rural India.
