India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover

Recover :- With the help of public participation we can recover soil, water, tress and forests ... Making compulsory to plant a tree is the option available ... Without planting trees we can't achieve the objective , so on the birth of every single child , tree plantation must be compulsory... encouraging parents to plant a tree is easy than spending money on advertising.. Parents ,School and Collage teachers, Aasha workers , public servants and private organization and public will take this as moment to achieve goal.

The Green life Plant it... Worth it..... Trees are more important than people. They help to make and feed the world. They make rain and builds the soil. Three trees placed strategically around a single-family home can cut summer air conditioning needs by up to 50 percent. By reducing the energy demand for cooling our houses, we reduce carbon dioxide and other pollution emissions from power plants. Shade from trees slows water evaporation from thirsty lawns. Most newly planted trees need only few litres of water a week. As trees transpire, they increase atmospheric moisture. The beauty of a well-planted property and its surrounding street and neighborhood can raise property values by as much as 15%.

1)We’re having institutions that just run their course, but we’ve not yet imagined what they need to become! We talk about sustainable societies but it needs models to be invented. So have some models. When it comes to taking climate action, building knowledge & staying informed on tough-to understand topics are needed. The more you know, the more one can think, say and do.2)Make all search engines and travel & hotel Apps /websites mandatory to “flag” fuel-efficient flights, eco-friendly hotels, & calculate/track carbon footprint of the trip in easy to use way.3)Develop accelerator program courses helping social entrepreneurs /youth gain transformative skills to think more critically about climate resilience & build a profitable, scalable business model.4)Think of youth engagement to tackle racial disparities & environmental justice since today’s youth will be tomorrow’s leaders in tackling climate crisis.5)Most children & adults don’t know “where does all the waste go?” Spread awareness
