India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse

Sir, MGNERGA is disturbing rural system very badly. Many farmers are discontinuing. May lead to food crises in future. Sustainability will be in question. So, please modify the MGNERGA, say govt will provide incentive who work in the farm, say Rs 100 per day. Balance Rs 150 let the farmer pay. Their presence shall be also monitored using their mobile in a particular farm, randomly. Let's not waste our human resource and hard earned tax money

From the beginning of 2014 our government working on cleaning of GANGA River along with other rivers and millions of rupees has been spent on that but still desired success hasn’t achieved because still our system haven’t made any system to stop industrial waste disposal in the rivers and water bodies due to which on place of cleaning it’s going in more worst condition. So to give a healthy and better MAA GANGA’s form to our coming generation which are mentioned in our GRANTHAS we will have to achieve our desired goal by proper management of industrial wastes.

Sir, There needs policy changes in Housing layout approval, to promote home-garden using kitchen waste and waste water. Note our house, we have 100 plants to feed us. No waste water goes out. Kitchen waste for compost pit. Rarely municipality people come to collect plastic waste. So, if a housing layout has provision for home-garden say 50 percent of plot area, then there is no need for park area. Let the individual house owner grow vegetable using house waste, which will reduce lot on waste disposal system.

Sir, MoEFCC needs reform. Many non performing divisions like GIM, NAEB. Conservation of Endangered TREE species should be specifically mentioned under MoEFCC, under Business allocation rules 1961. As MoEFCC is no clear, they restrict TREE Growing Farmers in the name of many jargons. Please find my suggestion on Conservation of Endangered TREE species of India. Sure, once implemented India will become 40% green

sir we are widening roads as traffics increases 6 lanes or even 8 lanes roads are being constructed traffic density is also keeps on increasing. wider roads spoil more soils it uses fertile land. wider roads require more overbridges and under passes. construction of overbridges consunes more energy. sir we should go for overhead metrino cars or monorail it will run on electricity it doesn't require batteries it can pass over furtile fields. it is safe as it is controlled by computers. sir such cars can also be built in such a way that personal electric cars can be attached to it. it wil save soil costly of acquiring land wil be zero as it can be built over highways. it can can pass through forest areas without disturbing it's ecosystem.
