India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

I am not perfect in english, so please make considers towards my grammatical mistakes🙏. I would like to share my thoughts which were passes through me . ** we have a number of irrigation canals passes through farm lands of india but till the farmers who are away from canals are suffering from lack of ground water for irrigation. **so, why can't? We make soak water pits in irrigation canals? So that! Abandoned water passes through soak pits in a long way through out the irrigation canals which leads to develop under ground water, ** and these method can be used in drained water canals in cities and towns to avoid flow of mixing drainage in rivers and ponds ** ** simple just make soak pits in middle of canals passages( not outside or beside ) inside the canal, which will automatically water flows through soak pits and develops under ground water.**🙏 please ignore if it is technically wrong.

The Green life Capture it... Utilize it.... Solar energy, solar power derived from the sun through the use of solar panels, is just one of the newest initiatives the "Going Green" movement has presented to us, in an effort to build and maintain renewable and sustainable power sources. It is becoming cheaper to make electricity from solar energy and in many situations it is now competitive with energy from coal or oil. Solar cells can be used to generate electricity from sunlight.

1. ALL govt employees should grow minimum 5 trees during their service and should maintain in their documents like A,A+ environment friend etc should get extra weightage mostly for them whose tenure is more then 3 yrs at a same place 2 govt should use waste land as a agricultural land ,govt should recruit youth for agriculture for these wasteland for 2,3 yrs as monthly payment and cultivate. collected revenue can be used to give them back. 3 in uttrakhand a tree named (chur) should be commercialize it's known as Makkhani tree ..it will improve locals life standard as well as good for environment 4 MANREGA scheme currently running all over India by this scheme govt should make a garbage point in every village, city and a waste water point so improve nalas. And at waste water point ,water can be reused or there will be develop a jungle (chota) in cities where garbage hills developed a machinery should be setup which should distinguish bio,non bio garbage and use them
