India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

India is the country in world which is surrounded all three sides of it by oceans and water so Indian government should utilities those coastal winds. We can make more and more windmills on coastlines. In That desert of our Rajasthan, government can lay down much solar panels to utilize the ultimate energy of sun. We should give a special focus on the utilities of green energy instead of coal and crude oil energy. We should also have a special focus on the disposal of Plastics because mostly animals ingest it and get sick then die after some time. It's the lack of careness of every people, we should only throw plastics and wrappers of any food material into dustbins and municipal cleaning vans only. We can aware people about how the disposal of Plastic waste and e waste is tough and necessary for our environment. We should plant more and more plants (Afforestation) to make our country and Earth Green. It's our duty to keep our surroundings & country clean. ☺️🇮🇳❤️

We should use don't use unnecessarily bikes or cars for going to a short distance. Instead of it we should use bicycle. By using bicycle, we can prevent carbon emission and it'll be also good for health.People should do car polling if they can. We should try to preserve our forest and plant as much plants as we can. a small change can make our India and Earth more beautiful. Alongwith tree plantation, we need to stop cutting of woods and forests.For this we need to change our life style. Reduce use of wooden items like single use plastic. Start of Festival's inauguration should be marked with plantation and Respect to animals. Solar energy and green power is way to maintain our natural eco system and diversity on Earth. In India, the Air Quality Index is much bad that 40% of total population of India is suffering from respiratory diseases. We've to stop it And it can only stop through planting more and more plants and looking after of it for at least 2 years after planting.🇮🇳❤️

i think re _ should also be in सोच thinking thoughts must 4 bright future reuse intellectual _ time 2 time but I didn't understand why oppose of holy books रामायण महाभारत गीता कौटिल्य अर्थशास्त्र वेदांत ग्रंथों को आपको कुछ आपत्ति हो तो सिर्फ किताब समझ के पढ़ो जो किताबें universal brotherhood सिखाए humanity को बचाए और तो और इन्सान को खुद से खुद कि पहचान कराए गहराई बताओ जिवन कि q भला ... या फिर गलत सिख को तो अपनाते ही हो तो सही को q नहीं और ऐ सब खुद के लोग खुद के देश में करेंगे q भी सोच royal रखो nation is your गुरु प्रकृति भी your guru और तो और समझ से परे जो बातें देश को आगे ले जाए उसे भी कैसे कर लेते हैं लाख और हिम्मत ईतनि आणि कहा से है ऐसा करके खुद का future spoil करते हैं anyways if your nation will secure automatically your family society future will secure और आने वाले 5हजार साल तक किताबें का शमन आएगी जो already हजारों सालों के पहले कि है जो ग्रां का सागर है और उसकी गहराई आप अपनाएं तो जिवन आसान बने such as Hindi Sanskrit language...

As our government had banned single use plastic in the country which is a good initiative for LiFE but we have already disposed a very heavy amount of plastic in the sewage,rivers, sea in other water bodies in agricultural land and all around ourselves which will be problem for coming 100 years so now government should work on extract those polythene and make proper management system for disposal of those polythene.

We talk upon modern countries that how they manages the problem in their countries,we talk upon Japan that how developed they are but we never talk what makes these countries successful. The answer is their citizens who not only listen the government advice but also use their own creative ways to tackle problems in their countries which make a systematic campaign from top to bottom and from old to kids. So just like them we will also have to spread awareness among people from rich to poor,from metro cities to marginal farmers working in the field and from kids to old age person because our mentality has become so that every problem is due to government and should be tackled by the government but the fact is that until we will not change nothing will change. Any government can not fix the problem of 140 crore of population but 140 crores of people can fix any problem in the world. So we will have to understand the man power for building an environmentally sustainable environment.

Dear sir LiFE was a great word introduced by our beloved Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji in UN but the sad reality of our society is that we just listen and work on these types of things for few days and later on we forgets but to actually make this campaign successful we will have to continuously work on this together for a long long time then a big change can be brought in the society.

Dear Pm, LIFE,P3&R7 as stated our mission for india under u but renovation/reformation is a complete corrupt practice to embezzle govt funds in the so called name as I have witnessed in many govt organization. Pro planet people should be discouraged to migrate to big cities for lifestyle sake betterment as that is sky rocketing urban land price & congesting unplanned urbanisation across country very much which would bring catastrophic disasters one day as we have witnessed in Bhuj & Gandhidham in 26 Jan 2001. we altogether can make any landscape in our country a better place to lifestyle for environment just by sharing a little touch, thought,time& devotion to our country as well planet & the final result would be a magnificent,majestical, musical & magical one for every one to experience. Caring, nurturing & sharing should be our quality but not destroying,damaging & demeaning. life of prosperity would touch us if we will be sensible with less ego in approach to competition too much..

For environmentally sustainable development for our nation, I would suggest to the authorities and decision makers at the next level to focus on ‘out of city’ areas rather than the city centre which are now mostly congested and have very little room for mega projects that throw the cities into chaos, confusion and prolonged years-long sufferings for the inhabitants. A case in point is Bangalore in Karnataka state. The city roads, though existing connectivity is reasonably good but the quality of motorable roads are inferior and needs massive refurbishments at high levels. There is no point in cutting and removing 34000 trees and covering up 5 lakes for the sake of a PERIPHRAL Ring Road which is in the CiTY itself and not in any currently peripheral areas. The Prime Minister has told the local Govt to focus on pending STRR, local railway connectivity and other centrally sponsored infrastructure to improve the life of its Citizens and commuters. Local govt should focus on this.

वैसे देखा जाए तो 15/20 साल में जो मुनष्य ने किया है वो आगे आनेवाले हजारों साल तक के लिए दुरुस्त करना है plastic/gadgets ज्यादा वक्त तो हुआ ही नहीं पर अब कैसे प्रकृति को बचाना है ऐ सोचना है ऐ सोच ही है जो जो strong बनाएगी देश के प्रति कर्तव्य or say thatप्यार से और सिर्फ अच्छे विचारों से पेट नहीं भरता पर देश के लिए ऐही अच्छी बातें काम अति है obvious economy also needs so waste में invest now much hazardous उत्पादन बंद होना चाहिए बाकी कम होना चाहिए और limited use कि आदत डालनी पड़ेगी और जो बचा है that has 2 use in constructive perspective cause human has spoil- air water soil by chemical use & so on if see that iशिवाजी महाराज & all period time पुल ets use 2 construct by natural mix components & still work अब ऐ जो बचा कुचा है उसको use के हिसाब से modify करना पड़ेगा q कि nature उनी बातों को जमीन में अपनाएं गी जो सिर्फ जमिन कि ही उपज हो बाकि इन्सान के पास लौट कर आएगा विकास एहसास के साथ आएगा सोच से देश के लिए काम आएगा दुनिया प्रकृति के लिए उन्नति अपनाऐगा..

R4-- Renewable energy. We have a large coastline 7000km+ there are some places sea erosion is high. Govt spends lots of money to safeguard the land & property by dumping large granite rocks,sand bags ,tetrapods,break water, sea walls etc. It's evident from this the waves are very powerful during monsoon & other times. The energy potential is creating large erosion in combination with winds. Now there are two possibilities one is wind mill & the other is waves by hydraulic arrangements to tap energy. We are spending to retard erosion by putting rocks & by other methods. If we can generate useful energy by investing on trial basis at certain areas taking know how from abroad or to fabricate locally.This can retard erosion & will take some time to stabilize or improve upon the design.To meet our working conditions. New ideas will emerge seeing the facility. Once the systems are successful we can create world market for the project. Creating employment & exports.
