Please arrange to pass the Anganwadi Workers (Regularisation of Service and Welfare) Bill, 2024
The Gujarat High Court ruled that Anganwadi workers and helpers should be absorbed as permanent government employees. The court ordered the central and state governments to formulate a policy for this and pay them arrears.
Supreme Court judgment
In April 2022, the Supreme Court ruled that Anganwadi workers and helpers are entitled to gratuity under the Payment of Gratuity Act.
Anganwadi workers are also entitled to receive a one-time lump-sum benefit during retirement, resignation, death, or dismissal. The amount is Rs 1 lakh for Anganwadi workers and up to Rs 75,000 for mini Anganwadi workers or helpers.

Dear Prime Ministerji
With the Union Budget approaching, central government employees and pensioners are hopeful that Hon.Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will address their demand for setting up the 8th Pay Commission. The establishment of the 8th Pay Commission for around 50 lakh central government employees and 67 lakh pensioners.I request you to form the 8th pay commission as it’s been more than 10 years since the 7th commission was set up.
The 7th Pay Commission was set up in February 2014 and its recommendations were implemented starting January 2016, It is widely anticipated that the new pay commission’s term will begin in January 2026, as past trends particularly those of the 4th, 5th, and 6th Pay Commissions have followed a 10year cycle. If this pattern continues, the tenure of the current pay commission will conclude on December 31, 2025.Hence look in to the matter and arrange to declare the same in the upcoming Union budget.
Yours faithfully
Dr Guinness Madasamy
