Covering various economical aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the occasion of the Panchayati Raj Day celebrated annually on 24th April and the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and MyGov provide a strong source of inspiration to all citizens of this country inviting their ideas that could support the MSMEs and Cottage Industry in Rural India through the Panchayati Raj System.

A streamlined governance, especially at the local level benefits the nation as a whole. India is a signatory to the UN 2030 Agenda to achieve inclusive and people-centric sustainable development through the 17 SDGs. Thus, with greater cooperation from the citizens of India, efforts of the Government of India and the local bodies towards a qualitative and quantitative transformation of the rural economy, the celebration of the Panchayati Raj Day would be fulfilled.

Therefore, we value your ideas and suggestions that could strengthen the Panchayati Raj System of the country in playing an instrumental role in the rural economy of India.

It is said that real india resides in its villages therefore to strengthen the rural economy efforts are required to structure small scale businesses and unorganized rural msme through panchayats many villages under the smart village schemes of govt have became self reliant in its requirement for power, dairy and poultry industries, handicraft industry, agricultural products thus these growth model are required to be applied to every villages and network of smart panchayats are required to be created

Value addition of farm produce will bring lot of opportunities to the Rural India. Traditional food items, milk based industries, millers based industries, home made chocolate, home made snacks, etc. The corporates should support by purchasing the products of cottage industries. Except locals no others should be allowed to start cottage industris

The women should be given technical training thru the Skill Development Centres. These training will enrich women in the villages.
