One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

I want to suggest that, there are so many mistake in processing the Income tax return online & created high demand, further,if assessee trying to rectify online,it is transferred to AO, while reducing the heavy demand from AO is very difficult & harrasive for assessee,so,the rectification right kept with CPC

Dear All, Despite the Oil Prices are at 12 years low, the final consumer is not benefited, due every time increase in Excise Duty by Central Govt. I request you to have a fixed policy for raising Excise Duty rate, as Petrol & Diesel are the primary commodities & this has also led to increase in the Consumer Product Index of Nov 15

The preparation for budget will be started, I want to suggest that, the basic exemption limit should be increased from 2.50 lacs to 3.00 for Individual tax payers. further, the rebate u/s.87A should be deleted, hence, net effect of increase in limit will be nutralised. further, the calculation will be more simple and free from confusion. The people will get relief and satisfaction, while, the commitment of govt.will also comply by increase in basic exemption limit, best wishes

Abolish income tax department or merge the same with GST. Its a blockage and speed breaker on fast track growth of Indian economy. Its a nightmare department for job creaters.

attractive/helpful/extra facility providing ideas for motivation of public for paying tax i think this idea will definitely increase the % of tax payers. Because public is only interested in something if it gives at-least some benefit or some facility. People are very status prone in our country if Pan cards of different types are issued as per the tax paid, people will motivate to pay taxes to show their status. This tax can be used for building of nation.
