One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

In view latest court verdicts/opinion & BCI Directions, it is right time to have unified control & regulation of all players practicing taxation laws in India, Tax Practitioners Law is the need of the hour. In India, there are professional bodies passed by the Acts of Parliament, to protect the interest of their members only, but there is no professional body to generate tax professionals to protect the interest of Govt. revenue. Respected Prime Minister Ji, My Key Point is that in our country Property Dealers are not covered in any Taxation Criteria nor they have any qualification. Any young or old man who does not have good knowledge or job, they become Property Advisor. If we go to the market to buy some property they deal in two ways. Property of worth Rs. 1.5 Crore but govt. gets the revenue only on 80 Lakh and rest in the pocket of property Advisor without paying tax to the Govt. Regards, Dr.Deepak

PAN CARD RENEWAL FEE: PAN card is issued for one time as a long life card. I think renewal fees is to be charged for each PAN card for a defined period of 1,2 or 3 years to revalidate/renew the same. By this way, Govt. will be able to check whether the PAN holder is regular or irregular in fulfilling the formalities under the I.T.Act,1961. Unless the renewal fees is recovered, the card may be temporarily inoperative.

Make charitable contributions 100% tax free as current 50% tax benifit is leading to tax evasion. Kindly amend law so all public trusts are treated same.

PAN CARD ISSUE: Fees charged for issue of Pan is considerably very low as compared to its dignity and value for being a citizen/entity of nation. Though the intention of Govt.for low fees is to bring maximum no.of persons in the purview of I.T.Act,1961, I think the fees so charged is to be increased to minimum of Rs.1000/- per card as compared to the cost to issue the same. By this, genuine taxpayers will apply rather than the people for photo identity card as a citizen of India.
