Direct taxation on Income is outdated concept which can be replaced by indirect taxation on expenditure on expensive items. One who earns more spends more on expensive items so this type of taxation will not affect poor and lower middle class. Income tax may be restricted to such income which is not going to spend in the country. Policy of replacement of Bank Notes periodically in 5 or 10 years must be introduced to discourage habit of saving/concealing cash.

Income Tax can be replaced simply as Transaction Tax (TT) by introducing uniform rate of say 0.5% on all amount received in any bank account for whatever purpose including salary, business and corporate transactions, long term and short term capital gain from shares, securities and property, etc. It should be the responsibility of the receiving bank to deposit the tax on daily basis for the total amount received in the bank. TT rate can be varied on monthly basis as per collection
