One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Remove tax exemptions and rationalize interest rates for poor and middle class. They feel difficulty in understanding all the exemptions available, hence spend unnecessarily on Tax lawyers and Chartered Accountants. If we can make tax free income upto 5 lakhs with no exemption beyond it, people would struggle less in avoiding taxes and it would also lead to lesser ambiguity and arbitration.

Tax exemption limits for Metro cities should be increased. Its getting more and more difficult to survive in metro cities due to excessive inflation. For instance my house rent is 12,000 but I cannot claim beyond 8000 due to limited HRA. Similarly there are lots of misc expenses in metro cities that cannot be categorised.

hamara tax administration eisa hona chiye kijo bhi kuch kharida jaye uska tax sarkar ko jaye .aur mera manna hei ke agar koi eisi machine banayi jaye jiska direct bechne wale aur kharid ne wale ke accounts se add ho ya phir deduct ho.Aur ek centralised monitor rahena chahiye jo ki har ek transction jo desh ke andar ho ya phir desh ke bahar ush machine pe reflect ho sake tab jake sayad kuch matra mein tax revenue badhya ja sakta hei.

As per my suggestion on TDS, it will make the accounting procedure easy for banks. Moreover, there will be no chances of CHORI of Tax on deposits, since the people keep their deposits in different banks in the name of their relatives to save tax. It will also end the headache of IT authorities to keep a watch over public deposits.

TDS on Interest on Time Deposits in Banks should be 1% irrespective of amount. Form 15H/15G should be discontinued. There are separate internal accounts in the Banks which show the exact and accurate detail of interest paid to public on deposits. Govt.can claim Tax on the balance of these accounts from the Banks. Bank can recover the tax from public as and when they pay interest on deposits to them. In this way Govt.can get huge amount to its books.

If we really have to make our cities clean allot separate areas to those who own cows and buffaloes. Or make stringent penalty laws if they leave their cattle on road. All the stray dogs should be caught and transported to the nearest sanctuaries or bio parks.

In the Indian tax structure, the north-east region is given very poor attention. The region is rich with resources though, given the strategic nature of the location the tax net is vey small. The tribals are exempted from paying income tax while others who are from the plains have to pay tax. There is asymmetry. No taxation without representation. Everybody has to be brought into the tax net no matter whether tribal or not.
