One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

There's much scope to improve Revenue department. For Income tax e-filing, e-mail must not be "no-reply". Taxpayers must be able to reply and get answer to their queries. Telephone number is not enough. If there's discrepancy, it must be pointed out within a year. Why bother senior citizens with fixed pension? Tax people must be more sensitive.

the taxation should be relaxed on the income earned from investments/financial schemes as a good amount of funds are already floating in market giving boost to economy .

despite paying tax on our earned income , the common man has to pay tax on almost everything they purchase from market ie food , consumables electronics etc etc which increases more burden. the govt expenditure and economic progression schemes should be executed very precisely as the contribution to govt treasury if from common mans income tax . Throwing away social schemes and free or subsidized resources should be curbed as it further increase burden on tax payers

Out of box approach may hv to be taken if we want to see India as economic super house. Imp thing is not just the policies but very positive implementation machinery which will be the backbone of india's prosperity. Single window or multiple window clearance doesn't matter, it is how transparently we talk to foreign investors. What level of clarity of thinking will our bureaucrats hv while letting them invest? In case foreign investors are not satisfied will our PM or FM intervene?
