One of the pillars of Digital India is to provide pan-India internet access through broadband highways. In sync to this, BharatNet is being successfully executed to provide optical fiber connection to 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats by 2019. Some experts have suggested that India can leverage its current cable infrastructure to provide last mile internet access via cable lines and ensure internet for all.

In this regard, MyGov is inviting citizens of India to give suggestions on policy and technology infrastructure that can lead to this access revolution, fulfilling the below-mentioned objectives
1) What are the possibilities from policy and technology perspective to maximize the usage of our cable network?
2) What are the potential challenges that could emerge in this process?
3) On comparing opportunities to challenges, does this emerge as a viable option?

Since India terrain is different in all parts of country cable might not be a optimal solution for remote parts, though might be good solution for urban and semi urban areas. We should work on powerful wireless networks in collaboration with leading educational and research institutes. Wireless also has some challenges, though in rural America for example they have powerful wireless network zoned to specific area such as a valley.

I live in Australia and Govt . introduced NBN program where the country was supposed to be linked to high speed Optical Fibre. The idea is great but implementation needs to be great too. It is very capital intensive and unless the whole project is monitored and done in a time bound manner it will definately jump cost . Maybe other ideas can be looked which are more important, cost effective and can be done in a timely manner. However since it will involves huge cost , it will generate jobs.

PC to PC connection should not be on modem to sent data from PC or laptop via coaxial cable for converting digital to analog signal & back to other PC The modem ,router, DSL, ADSL is not making internet free and fare as modem are required for data transfer from analog to digital where as in mobile not modem required as mobile itself a modem The broad band via modem , router . DSL, ADSL had to be removed and give cable connection with no modems & make computer PC a modem like laptop in India

Let the data connection come from network towers as having a mobile phone is a necessity today and most people would have it already, but may not have the latest technology, so invest in making low cost phones with lesser features but equipped with latest communication technology and they should be upgradable too by OTA to be compatible with upcoming technology too. Now an additional feature in these distributed phones should be that they act as hotspots for nearby phones like blockchains

maximum amount of electricity is lost in transmission. india looses 40%of its electricity in transmission via cables. If optical fibre are used or electricity is made underground it will decrease transmission loss and theft of electricity. Also optical fibres are of almost same cost as that of transmission lines so it won't create any economic problem as well

1) give optical fiber connection to all. 2) build a high end latest cyber crime station for maintenance and solving all type of issue. 3) yeah! this could be best option but if you go with no.2 and create a separate for cyber crime and do a special recruit for this.

Regarding the going for the cable option it will be better if use wireless in combination with the cable network we can connect each and every village with the wireless coverage and then again the local networking with the cable this will be the fastest and cost affective option for implementing the project . For the more for the end user we need to create awareness events or demo in villages regarding the use of the facilities and its benefits in local language better participation.
