One of the pillars of Digital India is to provide pan-India internet access through broadband highways. In sync to this, BharatNet is being successfully executed to provide optical fiber connection to 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats by 2019. Some experts have suggested that India can leverage its current cable infrastructure to provide last mile internet access via cable lines and ensure internet for all.

In this regard, MyGov is inviting citizens of India to give suggestions on policy and technology infrastructure that can lead to this access revolution, fulfilling the below-mentioned objectives
1) What are the possibilities from policy and technology perspective to maximize the usage of our cable network?
2) What are the potential challenges that could emerge in this process?
3) On comparing opportunities to challenges, does this emerge as a viable option?

Connectivity will play major in the coming years. Leaders will surely gain. SECURITY: Check all the internet hubs (laid in continent and ocean) connecting India to Globe. CONNECTIVITY: Optical fiber (to Indian villages) is the known best medium. Very short checks should be provided during laying the cables. This should be done keeping 50 years ahead situation. WIFY: WiFy should be given to any on public places with Aadhar feed. Police checks should also get security info on clicks only.

Providing broadband internet over Fiber To The Home (FTTH) should be the goal. Success of this effort is measured by what speed (50Mbps or 100 Mbps or 1Gbps) can you provide to each End Point (residential or commercial building). You may provide the best connectivity (Fiber) - but, if the data rate (speed) is not meeting the customer requirements, it is all useless. Wifi is just the last delivery point. This is not something we need to worry about. It will get done, once you provide good speed

Cabled network internet not permanent solution. Increase bsnl WiFi strength which will be controlled. I already suffered with reliance as they any time do change any thing. Request strength govt organization who can support minimum.
