The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, under the Sagarmala Programme, intends to create an ecosystem for the development of Ro-Ro (Roll-on, Roll-off) ferries and waterway transportation throughout the nation. When compared to traditional modes of transportation, this method of transportation offers a number of advantages, including shorter travel distances, cheaper logistics, and less pollution.

The draft guidelines aim to standardise and streamline the development and operation of ferry services, as well as, promote ease of doing business by reducing delays and conflicts, Additionally, guidelines will aid in boosting private players' confidence, hence expanding their involvement and encouraging healthy competition in such ventures.

The draft of Guidelines for Operationalization of Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax ferry service along the coast of India is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

Good transportation initiative by the government, but since mobility issues are still there, all state governments should resolve all such issues at first. If I travel with my car or bike from chennai to Vizag or Kolkata the state police will trouble me for vehicles registration issues or high security number plate issues. Hence all state governments should immediately implement BH series of vehicles number plates for all citizens. Presently some states are behaving like their state is not integral part of India. Government of India should focus on these states. We should have initiated this scheme in 1947 immediately after independence we are too late now. Otherwise this ferry service is very good for individuals who travel without vehicles.

Honorable PM Dear Modi . Cost Gard can draft the plan and guide lines for Costal ferry service . identify ports every 25 kms across . and start long distance and short distance ferry , ship service across coast lines . ex Automobiles , cargo , steel , fish , goods etc can be transported across Costal service as we have huge Costal line but still we travel more on road . past government always concidered to appease oil rich countries and did not develop our Costal mobility ..that would have saved 8 lakh billion dollars in 40 years time ..but at least today we can start using rich Costal lines for mobility , electric , road transport, . draft a guidelines to tender Costal lines for private players for mobility

Honorable PM Dear Modi, the waves , tides in Costal areas can produce huge amount of needed electricity to serve the electricity needs of country . 1. Solar energy can be used to pump water to over head places or tanks in hill then same water can be used to produce current when needed through the year . 2. waves on the sea can be used to rotate turbines to produce electricity... 3. tides can be used to produce current . 4. Floating solar cells can produce electricity.. 5. Cyone can be used to produce electricity. thus produced electricity can support mobility of evs , trains , or battery vehicles .. faster we come out of oil dependency country will flurish ..oil is the one which is making country poor every second ..
