During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

Approach methods are: (A)MASS PUBLIC AWARENESS involving Govt.bodies & NGOs using press-electronic media.(Aware common people about limited natural reserve of gas and oils.) (B)CONTROL FUEL UTILIZATION by introducing allotment of limited fuel-quota for personal vehicles(20 liters/mth for TWO-WHEELER

WITH RESPECT TO ABOVE SUBJECT,PETROL OR ANY OTHER NATURAL RESOURCE MUST BE USED AS EFFICIENTLY AS POSSIBLE.INDIA IMPORTS PETROL FROM OTHER COUNTRIES WHICH MAKES A DIRECT IMPACT ON US AS CONSUMERS AS WE PAY THE PRICE FOR IT,SO IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REDUCE THE CONSUMPTION OF THESE SCARCE RESOURCES BY NOT UTILIZING IT FOR 1 DAY.IF EVERY CITIZEN AVOIDS PETROL FOR JUST 1 DAY IN A WEEK HE IS NOT ONLY HELPING THE COUNTRY IN REDUCING THE IMPORT OF PETROL BUT ALSO CONTRIBUTES TOWARDS GDP RISE.

my suggestions regarding the above topic is that 1) try to bring the new rules to regulate purchase of vehicles for personal use for example a person should not own more then one car. 2)motivate and encourage people to use electric and solar cars. 3)encourage people to use more and more public transport. 4)instead of 2 stroke engine 4 stroke must be used. 5)cycle facility must be provided for all the people so that it will be convenient for them to visit nearby place. 6)car pooling.

respected sir if we really want to avoid petrol/diesel use than we have to make our vehicles run with electricity. starting of this can be done by making two wheeler use with electricity either making engine electric use with the help of scientists or any other way and if it is successful than make companies compulsory to use such engine and necessary requirements should be made available and the speed of such vehicle should be competent to petrol engines. thanks
