The common people are registering their comments, its coming from their deep of the heart, but we are in doubtful that they will read this or take care of our suggestions, God only knows. KDMC is still like a village only. As we are living there since last 25 years and not yet improved or developed even basic requirements. Wait and see what will happen. Anyway thanks for the opportunity to share this.

Making it smart city is as good as one Major Redevelopment Project. While issuing Infra work contracts can we have one clause that make it mandatory for contractor to sign bond or assure guarantee for long Quality life for that particular Contract task. Because we have seen same work is carried repeatedly especially on roads almost every year. Linking of Release of Contract payments to work completion timelines and Quality will force contractor to provide best quality work.

We seek to create a mature digital economy for the built environment which delivers high performing assets and exceptional client value as well as a knowledge base to enable the Smart City and community members to thrive in our urban environments. This approach will attract the most talented individuals from diverse backgrounds into an industry seen to add demonstrable value to society
By Using BIM Process we can achieve all this. #SmartCity

First there is no master plan with designated gardens and recreational reserved places. Water planning and basic infrastructure like road is worst. For smart city there must be basic criteria of facility with specification. Like Road what should be width, quality, designated places for carrying gas pipeline, electricity cable, water pipeline all utility requirement. What we are seeing on ground the day road is made its dug for these utility. So basic planning is missing. Lets make standard first

The present condition of the city is in turmoil in all respect. Law and order of the city is not in place at all. The city is literally dying day by day. And nobody is worried about it. All politcal parties are busy in their own self development.

A very welcome decision. Thanks to the Govt to select KDMC for this project.
But, will this be possible or will this project remain on paper only, or is this a ploy to lure voters in upcoming muncipal election.
Anyway, if the Govt has determination than this will become successful. But to implement this idea the Gibraltar will have to take stern decesions like, keeping away the existing political and beuraucrats and employing the services of selfless social workers.
