Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

The City should be covered with WI-FI access / Camera on all location and signal and try to install As much as Solar Power for all the Device used by KDMC.

Applying Smart Solutions to infrastructure and services in area-based development in order to make them better. For example, making Areas less vulnerable to disasters, using fewer resources, and providing cheaper services

suggestions should reflect the opinion of citizen spread across city, provide basic needs like dustbin, garbage collection, toilets in construction sites,drains cleaning

Focus should be on making things smarter by using the measurements coming from devices connected to the internet(Internet of Things) for efficient resource utilization. These smart devices could be used for(in the order of priority), 1.Smart Water management 2.Smart Waste Management 3.Smart Agriculture 4.Smart Safety and Parking systems 5.Smart Health. 6.Smart electricity grid(usage of solar devices)

Wide footpaths, No encroachment either by shopkeepers or hawkers. Trees on waysides, well maintained parks with good vegetation especially flowers Gulmohar trees. Walking / jogging tracks; lawns Sitting benches etc. 24 hour water, gas pipelines;, strict rules for parking; Autos compulsory CNG, good city buses - list is unending.

Don't think like a city planner, architect or engineer. Think like a citizen. Small, tight streets work great, and so do wide streets, if designed right.
