The youth in this country should not just be groomed to ask questions but encouraged to find solutions to the problems long troubling their surroundings and society. Youth cannot understand the problems and the needs of their society through the glass panes of their educational institutions. It is essential to bring them abreast with the ground realities of the society.This can only be done when they work at the ground level and understand the roots of problems.

The NEP should make it mandatory for Universities and colleges to develop 'Compulsory Credit System' through social service every semester. Universities should also have a social responsibility which can be achieved through the huge resource pool of young students. Universities are in a favourable position to understand and find solutions to various socio-economic problems of their localities. 3 credits per semester or less than 2 hours per week per student can bring in huge difference.

Colleges of higher education should have budgets for industrial visits (they should not be limited to one or two) and they should publish. Also learning in colleges which can be implemented in industry or changes in syllabus as per industry visit should be a critical part of college evaluation. When multiple colleges are evaluated, industry experts should be present

There should be a portal where nominated people from different companies can post the problems that they face. These problems can then be resolved by different university professors and/or students and they can give a quotation which can then be used for university campus etc.

Link each college with a local or neighboring industry/small scale industry/research institute/NGO. The college can also tie up with any institute in which the job opportunities are there. The curriculum of the college and the faculty for teaching can be framed in collaboration with the identified institute. This will increase job opportunity of student and also will get first hand experience of life.
