The role of institutions of higher education in societal development is becoming increasing significant. In recent years, higher education has isolated itself from the society and there is a need to re-establish and strengthen higher education’s close linkages with the society. How can Universities foster social responsibility and engage in community outreach programmes. Sharing some working examples would also be a useful input.

Buddha's teachings in ancient India have done great help to India. It has indirectly made people of India disciplined and reformed the evils of Indian society to some extent. Thats why Indians have strong traditional advantage of having good family values, morals to some extent that actually surprised Invaders. Good values, wise teachings of personality development like that of Buddha will act fuel to the country till many generations. So enhance the spirituality, moral conduct in childhood itself

Respected PM sir it is my request to intoruce meditation classes in schools as we can see in japan reikei science is being taught to their children which is making the youth of the country strong fronm within. If old techniques of yoga and meditation are introduced as mandatory classes this will help the young generation to be more spiritually strong and we can look forward to have a harmonious , successful, developed and peaceful India.

Education means the person should earn more money. The humane nature has got a chance to get corrupted in the present higher education. Hence a well educated medical doctor steals the kidney from an innocent patient. A famous advocate is appreciated for his thorough knowledge in the loopholes of the constitution. Politicians are turned into greedy persons as they go up in the ladder. Mere worldly pleasures become the vision of the political leaders. This is due to the higher education not perfect
