Linking of educational institutions to society can begin at Higher Secondary level.Organisations such as NSS can be used as a media for this.Students are to learn the problems of their society and try to eradicate them.Illiteracy through extension of education and adult education programmes, road shows against superstitions, meetings and distribution of pamphlets to create awareness about the dangers of drug and alcohol,promote good habits such as cleanliness ,protection of environment etc.

New vocational courses should be implemented instead of theoretical part.
