A US born citizen when adopts the citizenship of other country(ies), he / she does not lose his / her US citizenship or any part of it. When an India born citizen or NRI adopts US citizenship, he / she looses his / her voting rights, right to get a Govt. or public sector job or buying /selling an agri land. India must must restore the rights and dignity of India born citizens at par with US and must not use renunciation declaration against India born citizens. Change the rules !

Recently registered our Import Export business at Delhi. First thing that irked me was getting IEC. Why this hurdle? If one has VAT number, he should be able to import or export. Simply his CHA should fill in client's particulars online one time and IEC should be auto generated. Funny is, application is online but you need to print it and submit hard copy to the office we had to pay Rs.2000 for getting it thru because I did not have landline fone. Seriously, do we need land line in today's age?

I recently lost my PIO card in India. I have a Xerox copy of it but how do I get a replacement of the same issued in india? It does not make sense for me to return overseas to apply for a duplicate if I am in India. Can someone look into this. I am in India for a long term doing social works.

Dear Sir / Madam One of India’s biggest problems is wide spread corruption. Like we use to do in school – can we make every working official take an oath every day when he/she starts the work day? This will remind them of their duties and loyalty towards the country. I am a believer that if you remind people of their duties everyday they will be more hesitant and feel guilty of doing wrong. I was thrilled to hear Mr. Modi tell in his speech that NRIs holding PIO/OCI cards will nolwget lifelong visa. The problem most of face is not the duration but to have the "visa endorsed" in our new passports on renewal. I see no logic in including the passport number in our PIO/OCI cards. Each renewal is a nightmare! I suggest to not include the original passport number in PIO/OCI card. Or, do not require another endorsement in a renewed passport.

Making the process for obtaining any Indian document (E.g Passport, OCI etc) at Indian missions abroad a simpler process. Compared to the process to obtain an identity document in the US, the documents requested for an Indian identity document is a lot. Plus the indian missions website provide confusing information online leading to waste of time. All these processes have to be re-visited and streamlined for all Indians.

We heard a talk from one of the business owners in Melbourne that focused on the idea of socially responsible enterprise. The company here sells bottled water in shops, supermarkets and cafes and after paying reasonable wages and expenses the entire money goes towards supporting clean water projects in poor countries. This is a new direction in entrepreneurship, and can be adopted across multiple sectors. Would be great to see ops in India the balance economics and social responsibility.

Dear All, As you know, today the most dangerous virus is CORRUPTION & I believe the current government will be taking efforts to eradicate it. The issue is not possible to share in 500 words- so I have attached a pic. Please read and provide your comments on this. I believe this may be a fantastic solution if implemented carefully. But a need for discussion is always there.
