INDIA is not a poor country in terms of not being able to take sports/persons under its wing. "NOT ACCEPTABLE BY ANY MEANS". I lived in China for 2 years, and they have stadiums/soccer fields with a track around in every district or big universities. Sports gear is essential. If countries from South America can make sports equipment, so can Indians. Team up with manufacturers in other countries to make them in India - to suit Indian conditions. Spend money on infrastructure and make lessons available online on how to improve eg. tennis.com has video instructions on how to play. Once a basic level is reached, the better players can get more specialized camp training.
