The basic things for anyone is food, cloth, shelter and education. We all should emphasis more stress on these things rather than speaking things which are needed at a later stages. A project involving children who are deprived of these basic things should be taken up immediately in order to restore their lives. I like to get involved who are really serious in doing such things in a more realistic way. We all can really make this difference at least in one kid if we all can join together.

Planning Commission of India: Decision making with analytical skill and social welfare in mind is the need of the hour. It is not mere intellectual exercise. What India needs now. What are the main problems being faced? How effectively resources can be used to mitigate the sufferings of the people? How to effectively man the micro and macro-economic activities? To meet the challenge in next Olympics, let the NRIs sponsor training/coaching for 3-4 selected athletes and their coach at the best training institutions in different sports in host countries, and also interact with such athletes regularly to motivate them. Raising sports persons solely for winning in international competitions doesn't give durable results, unless sports is encouraged as a movement and seen as part of the life style among the children in schools or outside the school.

NRI can contribute greatly by bringing out swimming pool facilities in different localities either as their help or as their investment since a large population in urban areas is agreeable to pay good amout for swimming and swimming related sports.

Already we have some poor children are there very good in some sports -identify them through the schools without any bias(religion-cast & communal) and advice some of the private company's to adopt them and send them for special coaches within India and as well as abroad for specializing the special skills.

We don't have to reinvent the wheel of framework for each issue. Various countries already have a framework, study that and fine tune to the requirement of India. Eg urban planning, water recycling and political accountability from Australia, transport infrastructure from Germany etc. this can reduce delay and speed up progress faster. Spend money where required but don't waste like some Middle East countries but end product should be nice and beautiful too. Singapore is a good example to follow

I think their needs to be definite framework that needs to be developed for NRI's support, that will bring all NRI under one umbrella and they can collectively support big things (single or small group of NRI can support so little, but collectively a bigger group can make bigger impact). Government should also encourage/support this from their end either matching the contribution from NRI's directly or by providing any other resources as necessary. Collectively lets be/bring change.
