First we have to make plan for crime reduction, because due to increased rate of crimes NRI do not want to come India and that gives a wrong message so if we able to manage the crime than a good messages goes on the global platform from that NRI visited India with a happy note and they accordinigly advise the another people that deffinetly increase the tourist arrival.

Create an infrastructure for tourists where they can do what they want. Create guided tours for visiting cultural sites. Create resorts where tourists can relax and forget the worries from which they have taken a break. Goa is not enough. India needs resorts all along the coast of India. India is blessed with a huge coast line. India is not making use of this natural resource to the maximum. Do not ask foreign experts to advise you on how to create resorts. Use your own initiative and ideas.

The tourist attraction should be from one who stay and prove here. NRIs do not come under this category. However they do mean visitors for India by way of some business models. For example, most of the Sec 25 (of CLB) registered educational institutions assure students of Guest Lectures from Foreign professors/experts. This is happening and can be planned for large scale occurrence. But the irony is that such things can become an arena of large scale money laundering with political clout/support

1. Indian foreign missions shall identify volunteers among the diaspora eg. Indian Students or cultural associations. 2. Foreign missions and volunteers shall target audiences through public seminars, events, forums and social media to promote tourism. 3. The foreign mission shall ensure volunteers have adequate background about India to inform potential tourists. 4. Volunteers shall commit specific hours for the job while Indian missions shall support with info material and infrastructure.

Yes NRI's can be our ambassadors to the foreign countries we can have them to be Tied up with the local consulates and get some training programs which will help promoting India with the good tourism available in India among the people who are in touch will promote good tourism. At the same time we should make law stronger to erase bad people in india, so that foreign people are not afraid to come to india

NRI can start tourism centres for India but only those parts of India which are free from exploitation and harassment. White tourists are overcharged, teased and even raped. Then spitting pan masala everywhere and urinating shamelessly in public must stop before they can encourage foreign tourists to visit India. Hope Modi govt will stop the nuisance in the interest of tourism industry.

India is a great tourist destination. Living outside India for 30+ years; visiting India hundreds of times, each visit an exhilarating experience; I constantly cajole my fellow Australians to visit with the caveate that "you'll either love it or hate it.". Most of them come back loving it. The NRI's, like me, should evangilise India and if they have enough energy and enthusiasm, participate in the tourism industry. The Indian Govt should simply allow NRIs do so by providing dual citizenship.
