This theme seeks to understand the complexities around having a robust framework for technology enabled education. To what extent do our institutions leverage the potential of ICT for improving access and quality of general and technical education and also faculty development.

ICT is important. But let us also acknowledge the importance of other technological knowledge for research and education. for eg- GIS, GPS, statistical softwares and others. Our universities and colleges neither have enough number of skilled teaching stuff nor proper infrastructure. Regular workshops should be done. But the humane aspect of education must not be compromised. No private capital should be introduced in this.No discrmination based on user charge and affordibility should exist

First give us technology and training, then learning can be enabled. Even the prestigious Delhi University has ridiculously low speed internet at the best of times, I wonder about non-metropolitan universities.

Given the lack of net connectivity in large parts of India ( servers in big metros are often down!) this will remain a pipe dream. Until the on ground situation is improved, and access ensured, such 'smart' ideas will work only on paper.
